ABOUT

MARDELDANCE

a contemporary dance company with fresh ideas, passion, and a desire for change

The primarily contemporary company aims to introduce audiences and society as a whole to dance-drama. Marianne Bator, founder and choreographer, also hopes to touch others with her work in putting them on the path towards self-discovery. Bator, combines dance with music, acting, singing and film, producing dance-drama.

MarDelDance is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to spark change, promote positivity and empower people to tell their stories through the arts. Founded in 2008 by Marianne D. Bator, MarDelDance’s company has performed Bator’s signature dance dramas across the tri-state area, country and worldwide, and held youth arts empowerment workshops in low income school districts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Each dance-drama combines dance with multimedia arts to create visual narratives centered around social issues and personal stories of struggle and triumph. MarDelDance’s youth programs aim to bring youth on a path toward self-discovery through the arts. Students work with accomplished teaching artists of MarDelDance’s company to craft their own stories, performances and meaningful artwork.*
